THE DRAGONS

As we uncover new species we will share them here.

Here are the first 5 species that we've discovered

Mt SKal - Render Cut.png

The Timber Skál is a fearsome predator who stalks the treetops and takes its pick of the prey below. It is a lithe and powerful dragon in spite of being among the smaller members of the Skál species, and it’s best known for its meticulous control over its environment. When its young are nesting and learning to spit fire, this dragon will tear down dry or dying trees, clearing them out to prevent the accidental destruction of their forest.

MOUNTAIN Skál

The Mountain Skál is one of the most approachable dragons in the realm. It tends to live at altitude for the sake of comfort, as its internal temperatures can easily reach 650 degrees Celsius as it melts consumed granite. Glaciers are their preferred habitat, but due to the glacier-reducing effects of global warming, most of the Mountain Skál have been driven to peaks, groves of trees, and caves in an effort to escape the heat.

ALTUM

Lives near alpine lakes and fiercely territorial. Amphibious characteristics - able to dive into bodies of water to hunt prey or stock up with fish. Expandable gullet to collect fish or other marine life. Feelers like a catfish that detect positive and negative ions in the atmosphere. Through pores beneath its scales this fast flyer can discharge water vapor influencing and often creating clouds and thunderstorms, both for protection and offensively. This dragon doesn't breath fire but with the positive and negative ion buildup can create lightning strikes with sever accuracy. This is a very temperamental species that is very hard to bond with, but when a bond is achieved the possibilities become endless. Vary rare!

KLIM LUNG

Derived from the eastern dragons, the Klim Lung was mostly a water serpent. over time the serpent-like body developed webbing or large fins that allowed it to soar over great distances. As the ocean began to recede, this species adapted to land. It's feet became sticky like gecko, which make this species a very talented climber. It's soft sleek body remained, on the top half which allowed the dragon to blend into whatever surroundings it was in (like an octopus. its underbelly became armored as it's attacks were always from above, plus it protected it from the rocky terrain it lives. This dragon is nearly impossible to spot if it is stationary on ground as it's camouflage is that good.

The Har Lung, but instead of webbing this species evolved furred scales. The Lung species of dragons have lungs that run nearly the length of their entire body. This bladder can fill with hydrogen to create air buoyancy allow the dragon to appear to fly or float through air without wings. In addition this breed can bury and move through snow, as well as on the surface of snow without slowing down. The hydrogen properties can heat the surface of the this dragon rather quickly to the point that something touching it could catch on fire. These lung species of dragons though light in offensive weapons make up in defensive misdirection, camouflage and difficultly to hit in an attack. It makes this dragon a unique companion as they are fiercely loyal once bonded.
